Original mailing canister labeled from Dr. W.H. Burns of Alliance Ohio.
Longtime resident and physician for 45 years, Dr. Burns also served as "Alliance Health Commissioner."
He passed away in 1947.
The canister measures 5-1/4 x 2-1/8 with a worn label but remains in good condition for its age.
Interesting to note, the original Washington stamps are intact and cancelled as "Alliance."
The 3c Washington stamp on the left was issued in 1932 so we can date accordingly.
According to the label, Dr. Burns' address is printed as "448 South Arch Ave., Cor of Oxford" and the recipient was Emma Bonzo of Ellwood City PA.
