Authentic Polis stick circa 1972.
We acquired this stick along with a Les Binkley goalie stick (since sold) after a game at the Civic Arena.
Binkley signed both sticks at that time, so this one has a very clear Binkley signature.
This one is marked "POLIS" but stamped with a "23."
He never wore 23 but another player at the time, John Stewart did. It is also marked "Stewy" between the numbers.
My guess Stewart permanently borrowed a Polis stick and had his number 23 stenciled.
This was definitely a "Polis" made Victoriaville from the factory because of the centered "Polis" above the "Victoriaville" stamp.
This stick also have several nice puck marks.
