Rare, original panoramic photo of the 323rd Field Artillery, Headquarters Company,
32nd Division. Includes the note: "Just Back From Germany."
The photo is clearly identified near the bottom border.
This company was mostly made up of young men from Beaver and Butler County, PA.
This was a huge event when they returned in May of 1919.
The 323rd sailed home on the "USS Von Steuben" from Brest, France
and eventually landed in Hoboken NJ.
Although the men are not identified in the photo, I was able to find the complete
manifest list of those who were on the Von Steuben.
There are exactly 150 men in the photo, which includes the officers, enlisted men,
company band and instruments.
The manifest lists 177 men, with rank, hometown, serial number, emergency contact, etc.
The photo measures approx 32 x 7-3/4. There are some tears and tape repairs on the back.
Most of the issues are near the borders, so the main subject remains in good condition.
The men's faces are very clear with great uniform details,
band equipment, etc.
Sorry, absolutely NO returns on original photos + documents.
