Incredible (and original) newspaper page from the NY Times, Sunday Dec 13, 1925,
concerning the first event in Madison Square Garden. The New York Americans in their inaugural NHL season,
will play their first home game on Tuesday Dec 15, 1925, facing off against the Montreal Canadiens.
Tremendous photos of 5 of the New York players and amazing detailed coverage of the event with a huge
list of prominent New Yorkers attending, as well as a preview of the game itself.
There is also very interesting news of the updated NHL rule changes. Pretty humorous to read through.
The newspaper page is in VG condition and has been laminated for preservation.
The brittle paper used during this period does not hold up well, so we decided to laminate
some items for others to enjoy for years to come.
The page measures approx 22 x 17 and is in VG condition. The bottom left corner is off, but does not affect the content.
The reverse side also has more great sports coverage.
