An original cabinet of a group of students and teachers, circa 1892.
The only clue is the original sales order for this photo to be framed by O.J. Copeland in Pittsfield MA.
This paper is significant because the customer's name is "K.E. Gardner" (Kirk Gardner) a well known and long time resident of Hancock MA.
Further research may indicate that Gardner's daughter Louise may be in the photo. She graduated from Pittsfield High, and then from Wesleyan
Academy in Wilbraham in 1889. She later became an educator for many years. Perhaps she is posing with one of her classes.
Interesting to note, there is a small memorial photo of a younger man in the lower right.
The photo is in VG condition. There are a few issues with some corner wear and a stain at the top, but these do not detract from this fine image.
There is some scuffing along the bottom border of the image.
Measuring 13 x 11 including the heavy stock mount.
