1904 photo of "AG Bumgardner" as a football
player at West Virginia Wesleyan University.
Clearly id'd on the front as "AG Bumgardner College 1904."
Positively id'd in old yearbook photos.
I was able to find a senior year photo, and a football team photo where
Bumgardner is clearly id'd and appears to be in the Class of 1906.
There is a 1907 news blurb where he returned to the college for an alumni football game.
Research items are NOT included with the sale of the cabinet photo.
As you can see, the cabinet photo shows some staining along the borders, but fortunately
the oval photo remains unaffected.
The overall size of the heavy stock frame is 8.5 x 4.5 and the size of the photo itself is 6-3/8 x 3.
I did not notice some very old pencil notations on the back.
These are very light and difficult to make out, but they appear to be instructions
to the photographer.
