Original letter concerning the pension of Civil War Veteran David Frew.

Letter was sent to the Mother of David Frew (Mrs Eliza Ann McNeely), denying the pension request.

The agent explains that David left a widow who is now receiving said pension.

Apparently Mr. Frew married Laura Jane Sackett around 1855.

The obit of Mrs. Frew reveals the marriage occurred on Dec 28, 1854.
