Original 1860 Phelps & Watson linen backed map.
Measures approx 38-3/4 x 38-3/4 - Engraved and hand colored
There are issues with creasing and several wrinkles and I do see one hole near the top.
The borders show some wear and the back has some discoloration although I do not notice this as much on the front.   Nice engravings and still maintains color.
Amazing this still survives.  
There are several places who specialize in restoring maps and art.
The heavy original frame is here but we removed the broken glass and is not included with this sale.
There is also a newer mat and a new backing on the back, and appears the previous owner had started framing work but never finished.
We did lay the map next to the frame for photographing purposes.
The map was carefully rolled and stored in a safe place, and will be shipped in a strong box.
