Apparently this police baton was presented to Ben Roethlisberger by the Chief of Police, of Kansas City Missouri
in November of 2009.   Per the clipping below, Roethlisberger's foundation made an $8000 donation to the police force for a new police dog.
This is an authentic very heavy duty police baton.  Appears to be solid wood of course.
The riveted tin tag has the facsimile signature of Chief of Police James Corwin.
Measuring 20" with detailed handle and original thick rope.   
Shows some dings and scratches, as it should.
