Original stock certificate from the A.F. Schwerd Mfg Co of Pittsburgh PA (North Side).
One of the oldest existing companies in Pittsburgh until destroyed by fire in 2003 (see clips below).
This wood porch column company was incorporated in 1911, but in business from the 1860s
in a smaller capacity.   This stock certificate was one of the earliest in Schwerd history, being issued in February of 1936.
Appears to have been transferred in 1950.
Remains in VG condition and measures (with stub at left) approx 14 x 8-1/4.
There is a piece of period tape used to keep the certificate attached to the stub for purpose of keeping in original stock binder.
