Original "Notice of Issue" civil war pension document

from the Department of the Interior

issued to "Samuel Monn" March 20, 1906

The original envelope from the Bureau of Pensions is included.

Handwritten notes on the envelope and Wash DC postmark.

Samuel Monn (1839-1920) served in the 126th PA Infantry, the 99th PA Infantry,

and the 22nd PA Cavalry.

Originally from Franklin County PA, and later moved to Cedar Rapids Iowa.

The claim and certificate numbers both match civil war records.
