Original "Notice of Issue" civil war pension document
from the Department of the Interior
issued to "Joseph Mash" - Dec 31, 1901.
The original envelope from the Bureau of Pensions is included.
Handwritten notes on the envelope and Wash DC postmark. Joseph Mash (1837-1901) was a member of the 10th Iowa Infantry, Co K.
Joseph's residence was listed as Iowa City, however he did pass away
in the Soldier's Home in Marshalltown IA.
He is listed in the 1900 census in Cedar Rapids.
