This is a collection of original news clippings from the beginning of the incredible game played streak of Lou Gehrig which began in 1925.
Included here are the box scores and game summaries of 20 Gehrig streak games which began on June 1, 1925.
Games of the streak -- 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22, 25, 26.  These games were played between June 1st and June 27, 1925.
As a bonus, the last game before the streak began is also included.  That being May 31, 1925.
All the clippings are in EX condition and are from the South Carolina newspaper "The State" (Columbia SC).   Some of the clippings
have the date attached on the border, and I see a few have an ink stamp.  I am told these were from a scrapbook but have never been glued or taped
to any paper.
We have scanned all the clippings for your review.  The first image below is the first game of the streak and the game before the streak began.
Trivia Note:   Babe Ruth missed the first 2 months of the '25 season, but returned on June 1, 1925, for the first game of Gehrig's streak.
Also, in the June 17th game, Ty Cobb and Gehrig both homered in a 19-1 Tiger victory.
