Original cabinet photo c.1875 identified as "M. Emma Drought."

The photo has been signed on the reverse.

We were able to find important background info, so please review below.

Most likely this photo was taken after her graduation from the Western Female High School

in Baltimore, 1875 (see article).   She later became a teacher in Baltimore for several years,

until her marriage to William Fish (a dentist) about 1884.   After her divorce before 1907,

she became a house mother for "Delta Sigma" of Smith College in Northampton MA, until she left due to illness.

She passed away in 1918.   She left a son in WWI, Lt Gordon Fish.

The photo is in VG condition and was slightly trimmed for album insertion.
