Pair of original real photo postcards of a military parade.
We have determined the event to be the 1919 Armistice Day Parade in Kansas City MO.
These appear to be views down Grand Avenue.
This was a huge event in the city, being the first anniversary of the signing of the WWI Armistice. The date was Tuesday, Nov 11, 1919.
Several automobiles of the day can also be seen.
One building in view is the Midwest Haynes Auto Co (see ad below).
There is also a note on one of the postcards, referring to the No. 1 Ambulance Company.
The ambulance appears to be in view trailing the men of the company.
Both postcards are in EX condition and unposted.
They have a sepia tone, and have been darkened slightly for easier viewing below.
