In 1913 minor leaguer Elmer Martinoni pitched 3 no-hitters in 1 week!  A feat so incredible he made it in the Ripley's Believe it or Not newspaper series.
All three games were against the great ex-major leaguer Joe McGinnity (with Tacoma) and all ended in 1-0 scores.
Martinoni was a lifelong resident of Oakland CA and passed away in 1937 (see obit).
