Rare season ticket stub from Mario Lemieux's greatest performance.
Scoring 5 goals 5 different ways on New Years Eve, 1988. First to do it, and probably the last.
This is my personal season ticket from that night and time for someone else to enjoy owning it.
As far as I know, this is on the only season ticket ever offered for sale.
PSA graded and authenticated. Does the condition really matter on this?
Season tickets from this season have a colorful Pens logo as well as a fine Civic Arena image in the top right. This is not a "Choice Seat" or other computer generated ticket that
could have been purchased at a ticket window or local ticket outlet.
Our seats were located about 10 rows behind the penalty box, between the blue and red line,
so this ticket is one of the finer views one could have in the old arena.
We were one of the original season ticket holders from 1967 until 2016.
The old hard tickets were all handled, torn by ticket taker, and most were crammed into a pocket or wallet, so most have even the slightest crease or wrinkle.
This ticket stub has two light vertical bends (not complete folds) near the center, and I also notice a shorter diagonal
bend above the "Peng" and ending on the left border. otherwise it remains in EX condition.
Considering fans did not try to preserve hard tickets back then,
this one held up pretty well at the game.
Check the close up images to inspect for yourself. I took photographs before and after the PSA grading.
The ticket measures 4-7/8 x 2
Buyer is responsible for acquiring shipping insurance if desired.
Might be a good idea to arrange for local pickup if possible.
The news clippings are NOT included with the sale of this ticket.
